Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise was yesterday (Sun) voted the sexiest short man on the planet, in a poll of women.
Cruise - whose ex-wife Nicole Kidman famously quipped 'now I can wear heels' after splitting from the 5ft 7ins actor in 2001- beat Top Gear's Richard Hammond to top spot.
Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond, who is also 5ft 7ins, is regularly left in the shade by telly sidekicks Jeremy Clarkson and James May.
Jazz star Jamie Cullum was third. The 5ft 4ins tall singer is towered over by model girlfriend Sophie Dahl.
F1 star Lewis Hamilton was fourth and pint-sized pop singer Mark Owen was at number five.
The survey results also prove Cruise hasn't lost any of his appeal with his fans, despite his short height and obsession with Scientology.
A spokesman for market research company www.OnePoll.com, which polled 2,000 women, said: ''This just goes to prove you don't have to be 6ft tall to be sexy.
''These guys are regularly seen with stunning girls on their arm, which gives everyone else who might be struggling on the height side can have a little bit of hope.''
At number six is Shameless star James McAvoy while Manchester United and England footballer Michael Owen was in seventh place.
Eighth place went to Stereophonics singer Kelly Jones, who at only 5ft 5in is one of the smallest celebs to feature in the top 10.
Tiny TV host Declan Donnelly was voted in at number nine while film star Robert Carlyle finished off the top ten.
Some of the more unusual entries into the poll included 5ft 2ins Prince at number 13 and Deal or No Deal presenter at number 14.
Even big-haired singer Leo Sawyer scraped in at number 20.
