It’s official, men are more likely to drop hints about marriage than women. Yep, 39% of men have given their partner subtle hints about tying the knot compared to just 28% of women. The most common hint they drop is talking about their friends getting married. Annoyingly, though, it takes about 8 months for partners to take the hint and actually get engaged.
So, other than the obvious love and desire to marry their partner, what is driving the hints? Pressure could be one factor with 57% more likely to feel the pressure to get engaged. 63% said this pressure came from their partner despite 72% of men and 85% of women say they never pressured their partner into getting married.
